#1 – There’s just something about a beautiful bouquet of flowers that just makes me smile.
Luckily, I live 2 minutes away from Harris Flower Farm, and I can buy their farm grown flowers from their beautiful cart.
With Mother’s Day on the horizon, you can’t go wrong by picking up a few bunches of flowers or even upping your game and gifting a ticket to one of their design workshops. Their next workshop is on May 16th and the lady in your life with thank you for thinking of her with this gift.
Janis Harris – Owner of Harris Flower Farm & Pastured Pork. From a young age, Janis was always drawn to pretty flowers, “I think flowers may be in my blood”. After going away to post-secondary education and having a successful optical career she has returned to her roots and rekindled her love for flowers. Harris Flower Farm is a 4-acre seasonal cut flower farm that provides beautiful flowers for local farmers markets, weddings and events. This is their 11th growing season, so you know they’re true flower experts!
Flowers are produced from April to October, in November and December wintergreens are used in arrangements. Harris Flower Farm grows a large variety of annual, perennial, bulb and woody stem flowers. Janis is the Canadian Regional Director for the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers and an avid supporter of everything local.
